Both Leon and Grace are getting their own watches, and unfortunately, they are pretty darn slick

You know those watches you caught Grace Ashcroft and Leon Kennedy wearing in various Resident Evil Requiem trailers? No? Well, they're there, and soon they'll be coming to an online storefront for you to buy should the urge arise to spend a whole lot of money on a luxury item.
Announced alongside today's relatively tame Resident Evil showcase - whose biggest reveal was arguably the new classic mode that lets you go back to the days of ink ribbon management - these fancy custom watches are a collaboration between Capcom and the watchmakers over at Hamilton. There's two of them, and only 2,000 of each will be made, so if there's one you like and you're very rich (can we be friends?), it's best to scoop it up quick.

Watch On
I'll be real, at first I assumed Capcom and Hamilton transposed the watches onto Grace and Leon specifically for marketing materials, but no, I went back and watched previous Resident Evil Requiem trailers and they've been wearing them the whole time. It seems Hamilton is selling near replicas of those watches for both Grace and Leon.

Per Hamilton, "Grace wears a unique American Classic Pan Europ that blends strength and sophistication with a gold-accented strap, geometric case-back motifs, and a bold gold-and-black dial," while "Leon wears a unique Khaki Field Auto Chrono, a rugged all-black timepiece with bullet-inspired pushers and a wing detail at 9 o'clock honoring fallen comrades." Huh, the more you know.

Leon's watch(Image credit: Capcom/Hamilton)"In Resident Evil Requiem, time is a main character. It shapes tension, defines narrative and sharpens every decision," reads a description of the collaboration."Hamilton's collaboration with Capcom brings this idea to life through two story-driven timepieces created specifically for the world and the protagonists who inhabit it."
Grace's black and gold-colored American Classic Pan Europ watch, whatever the heck that means, will run you a cool $1,475, while Leon's all-black Khaki Field Auto Chrono will set you back $2,175. Both of them are way out of my price range for a watch, but I will admit that they're very classy looking and aren't ruined by tacky branded flourishes you might expect from this sort of thing, but certainly not from a $2,000 watch. Both watches release the same day as Resident Evil Requiem, February 27.
Resident Evil Requiem producer says "Leon's counterpart" Grace is "easily frightened" because you're meant to relate to her – but I think even horror vets should be disturbed by a monster who sniffs your stink
